Kansas Jayhawks square off against Arkansas Razorbacks in first round of NCAA Tournament

MARCH 20
Perfect from deep Harris ended with 16 points (6-9 FG, 4-4 3Pt), two rebounds, three assists and one steal across 38 minutes during Thursday's 88-77 loss to Arizona.
Impact Harris was a perfect 4-for-4 from beyond the arc but it wasn't enough as Kansas fell in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 tournament. The four triples were a season-high for Harris, while the point total was the most he's accumulated since mid-November. It was the first time Harris has reached double figures in scoring across the last six games but also just the second time in the last 17 games he's recorded three or fewer assists. The Jayhawks will hear their name called on Selection Sunday and are likely to end up with a middling seed during the upcoming NCAA tournament.

MARCH 12
Low shooting volume Harris finished Monday's 65-59 loss to Houston with two points (1-2 FG), three rebounds, two assists and two steals across 34 minutes.
Impact It's well known that Harris is a pass-first point guard, but he matched his season-low scoring total Monday and has recorded just a combined 12 points over his last three games. The end result here was a loss, albeit a narrow one, against a Houston squad that has one of the most efficient defenses in the country.

No. 10 Texas Tech visits Kansas after Dickinson's 32-point game

Kansas hosts the No. 10 Texas Tech Red Raiders after Hunter Dickinson scored 32 points in Kansas' 71-64 win over the Colorado Buffaloes
FEBRUARY 28
Swipes six in dominant win Harris notched 14 points (5-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, five assists, one block and six steals over 27 minutes during Saturday's 96-64 win over Oklahoma State.
Impact Harris was at his best Saturday, scoring 14 points, dishing out five assists and adding a season-high six steals during the Jayhawks' rout of Oklahoma State. It was a nice rebound effort for both Harris and the Jayhawks as the senior point guard tallied just two points during Kansas' 34-point loss to BYU last Tuesday. It was the second time Harris has swiped six in a game, last accomplishing the feat nearly three years ago. Harris is averaging a career-high 9.7 points per game this season while adding 5.7 assists, 3.0 boards and 1.5 steals per contest.
FEBRUARY 22 • ROTOWIRE
Offensive catalyst Harris ended with 10 points (4-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and five assists across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 71-59 win over Colorado.
Impact Harris scored 10 points while adding five assists, the 18th time this season he's tallied at least five in a game. The senior guard also matched a season high with six boards in what was a solid all-around offensive performance. The senior guard is currently averaging a career-best 9.6 points per game but more importantly has remained the offensive catalyst in his final year in Lawrence, averaging 5.8 helpers this season while upping that mark to 6.8 over the last eight games.
FEBRUARY 11 • ROTOWIRE
Eight dimes in return Harris chipped in 12 points (4-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-7 FT), two rebounds, eight assists, one block and two steals in 33 minutes during Saturday's 81-70 loss to Baylor.
Impact Harris was considered a game-time call due to an ankle injury that forced him to miss the previous game against UCF, but he was back in the starting lineup for Saturday's Big 12 matchup. He and the Jayhawks unfortunately couldn't stave off a monstrous second-half comeback from Baylor, however. On the bright side, his eight assists brought his season-long average to 5.9 apg, which puts him back in a tight race against Elijah Hawkins and Egor Demin for the top mark in the conference.
FEBRUARY 2 • ROTOWIRE
Active against Baylor Harris (ankle) will be available for Saturday's clash with Baylor, Pete Thamel of ESPN reports.
Impact Harris will make his return to the court after sitting out during Tuesday's game against UCF, snapping a streak of 98-consecutive starts. The 6-foot-2 senior, who is averaging 9.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.4 steals across 19 starts this season, will look to lead Kansas to their seventh conference win on the season.
FEBRUARY 1 • ROTOWIRE
Probable at Baylor Harris (ankle) is probable for Kansas' game Saturday at Baylor, per Jeff Goodman of TheFieldof68.com.
Impact Before the Kansas-Baylor game, Harris will warm up before KU's team decides his Saturday availability. Without him available for Kansas' matchup Tuesday against Central Florida, the Jayhawks added Rylan Griffen to their starting lineup, but he did not maximize his opportunity. An available Harris, if fully healthy, should comfortably re-enter KU's starting lineup.

No. 11 Kansas plays without injured guard Dajuan Harris Jr. for first time in nearly 5 years vs. UCF

No. 11 Kansas played without Dajuan Harris Jr. for the first time in nearly five years on Tuesday night against UCF
JANUARY 29
Out with tweaked ankle Harris tweaked his ankle in practice and won't play against Central Florida, Gary Bedore of The Kansas City Star reports.
Impact Harris will miss his first game of the season. The injury doesn't sound all that severe, but it'll keep him sidelined at least for Tuesday night. The point guard has been replaced in the Jayhawks' starting five by Rylan Griffen. Harris will get a chance to return to the court on Feb. 1 against Baylor.
JANUARY 28 • ROTOWIRE
12 dimes in OT loss Harris registered eight points (3-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 0-2 FT), five rebounds, 12 assists and two steals across 45 minutes during Saturday's 92-86 2OT loss to Houston.
Impact It was a season-best assist total for the fifth-year senior, but unfortunately not enough to keep up with a normally defensive-minded Houston squad. He and the Jayhawks sport as much talent as any roster in college basketball, but so far Kansas has fallen short in key Big 12 tests against Iowa State and Houston. They'll look to rebound as big home favorites Tuesday against UCF.
JANUARY 26 • ROTOWIRE
Gets season average despite blowout Harris notched 11 points (5-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists and one steal in 23 minutes during Sunday's 99-48 victory over UCF.
Impact In a blowout victory that saw Kansas empty its bench and resulted in depressed minutes for starters across the board, Harris still attained his season scoring average. That mark of 10.4 ppg happens to be his best in five seasons with the Jayhawks, though his three-point shooting is down to a career-low 30.8 percent. There will be plenty of time to turn that around given likely higher usage with Big 12 play in full swing.
JANUARY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Leads team in losing effort Harris provided 15 points (6-21 FG, 3-9 3Pt), two rebounds, five assists and two steals in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 76-63 loss to Creighton.
Impact Harris fired up 21 shots, converting on just six including shooting 3-9 from beyond the arc to lead the Jayhawks with 15 points. It was off night all around for the top-ranked Jayhawks and while Harris' shot total was more than twice that of any other game this season, he did add five assists and two steals. Harris remains one of the best true point guards in the country, averaging 10.4 points, 1.8 steals and 6.0 assists with just 1.3 turnovers per contest for an impressive assist:turnover ratio of 4.6:1
DECEMBER 4, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Leads team in rare scoring outburst Harris logged 17 points (6-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT), three rebounds, six assists and two steals across 29 minutes during Tuesday's 84-66 win over UNCW.
Impact Harris contributed a team-high 17 points, the most he's scored in more than a calendar year, while also adding six assists for the third-consecutive game. He's reached double figures in scoring in three of his last four games and has contributed at least two steals three times within the same timeframe. Harris isn't usually relied upon to score for the Jayhawks but has proven capable when needed, shooting 54.8 percent from the floor through the first five games.
NOVEMBER 19, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Quiet in second exhibition game Harris had four points (2-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds and four assists in Tuesday's exhibition win over Washburn.
Impact Harris certainly had a much quieter night than he did in the first exhibition game last week against Arkansas when he went for 26 points (11-17 FG, 4-5 3Pt). There's also a chance coach Bill Self wanted Harris to play a little more passive on Tuesday to see what some of the team's new additions could do. Regardless, Harris is one of the best point guards out there and coach Self will want to see him be aggressive like he was against Arkansas when the regular season begins on Monday against Howard.
OCTOBER 30, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Warming up Harris (ankle) is warming up ahead of Kansas' Monday night matchup at Texas Tech, Justin Apodaca of RedRaiderSports reports.
Impact Harris was expected to play ahead of the matchup, and this news again reinforces the fact that he'll play. The junior guard's hopeful ability to play will come in time for the Jayhawks, as their leading scorer Kevin McCullar is out with a knee injury.

Dishes out 8 dimes Harris finished Monday's 74-69 victory over Cincinnati with eight points (3-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound, eight assists and two steals over 37 minutes.
Impact Harris was the only starter to not reach double-figures, yet he continues to star for the Jayhawks, adding eight assists and two steals to help spark the victory. Harris has now posted eight assists in nine games this season, including four of six conference games. He's also stepped up his defensive presence over the last four, adding 3.3 steals. Harris will lag behind the rest of the Kansas starters in scoring most nights, but he will also continue to be their offensive lynchpin, leading the Big 12 and standing eighth in the country in assists with 6.8 per contest.
JANUARY 22, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Dajuan Harris asked KU coach Self for rare breather: 'I want to play the whole game' Even Dajuan Harris, KU’s leader in minutes played, can get tired at times during the course of a college basketball game.
DECEMBER 25, 2023 • KANSASCITY.COM
Again paces team in assists Harris chipped in 12 points (5-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt), two rebounds, five assists and two steals over 40 minutes during Saturday's 75-71 win over Indiana.
Impact Harris played every minute of Texas' come-from-behind victory over Indiana, leading the team in assists while also contributing just his second double-digit scoring effort of the season. Harris has now played 35 or more minutes in each of the last nine games and has posted five or more assists in all but one contest this season.
DECEMBER 16, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Struggles in loss Harris ended Tuesday's 73-59 loss to Marquette with four points (2-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and two steals across 36 minutes.
Impact The Jayhawks' struggles on Tuesday were embodied by Harris, whose three assists were a season low. Defensively, Harris held Marquette's star point guard Tyler Kolek in check but it was a rough night all around for the Jayhawks. Outside of a career-high 23 points against Kentucky on Nov. 14, Harris has scored only 13 points in his other four games combined, though he had been shooting 50% from the field prior to Tuesday night.
