Kam Shanks - 80 yards in loss Shanks caught 5 of 11 targets for 50 yards during Saturday's 31-23 defeat against Connecticut.

Impact Shanks broke out last week versus Tulsa as he scored four touchdowns in the blowout win. Although he did not come even close to that production versus UConn, he proved to still be very involved in the offense. He had 11 targets for the third time in his last four games and received two carries once again, this time taking those for a season-high 30 yards. Shanks' high volume combined with his explosive ceiling makes him a valuable option down the stretch.

Amare Thomas - Solid without touchdown Thomas hauled in 6 of 11 targets for 88 yards during Saturday's 31-23 loss to Connecticut.

Impact Thomas was unable to haul in a touchdown Saturday but he still had a very productive day. He saw 11 targets, his fifth straight game with nine or more, and went for over 80 yards for the fourth time in his last five games. He has proven to have both a high floor and a high ceiling, making him a very valuable asset during the final stretch of the season.

Lee Beebe Jr. - Productive in Saturday's loss Beebe tallied 17 carries for 115 yards and one touchdown and gathered in 6 of 7 targets for 21 yards during Saturday's 31-23 loss to Connecticut.

Impact Beebe had arguably his best game of the season Saturday as he ran for over 100 yards for the first time this season, totaling 136 yards from scrimmage on 23 touches. He also scored a 25-yard touchdown at the end of the second quarter. His game was by no means perfect though as he lost a fumble with less than five minutes left in the fourth quarter and his team down just one point. He faces a more difficult matchup Saturday at Memphis.

Jalen Kitna - Inefficient in Saturday's loss Kitna completed 22 of 42 passes for 233 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Saturday's 31-23 defeat to Connecticut. He also had eight rushes for -13 yards.

Impact Just one week after throwing for 404 yards and six touchdowns versus Tulsa, Kitna came back down to earth Saturday. He completed just over 50 percent of his passes for a season-low 233 yards. He also turned the ball over three times (two interceptions and a lost fumble), his fourth time in five starts with multiple turnovers. He and the Blazers were up 23-10 in the second half and blew the game, in part due to Kitna's turnovers. He has a decent chance to bounce back Saturday at Memphis.

Impact Despite the Blazers' jumping out to a massive early lead on Saturday, Beebe was still unable to have a productive performance. He led the backfield in touches by a significant margin, but he managed a fairly disappointing 56 yards from scrimmage. The fact that he did not receive lots of carries in a blowout win is a bit of a concern moving into the final stretch of the season.

Armoni Goodwin - Catches TD Saturday Goodwin posted one rush for 23 yards and gathered in their only target for 20 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 59-21 win over Tulsa.

Impact Goodwin scored his first touchdown of the season Saturday, a 20-yard reception in the first quarter to give the Blazers' the early 7-0 lead. He only had two touches in the game but was still able to salvage a productive performance. Despite the positive outing, he is not receiving enough work to be a viable option.

Amare Thomas - Scores twice in blowout win Thomas tallied eight receptions (on 10 targets) for 84 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 59-21 victory over Tulsa.

Impact Thomas had another very productive outing Saturday as he caught two touchdowns, a 16-yard reception in the first quarter and a 15-yard catch in the second. It marked his second straight multi-touchdown game and he now has eight touchdowns on the season. He also tied a season-high with eight catches and he has been targeted at least nine times in each of Jalen Kitna's four starts. Thomas has been extremely productive with Kitna under center so Thomas managers should monitor Jacob Zeno's (shoulder) status ahead of Saturday's game versus UConn.

Kam Shanks - Scores four TDs versus Tulsa Shanks hauled in 5 of 7 targets for 153 yards and three touchdowns during Saturday's 59-21 win against Tulsa. He also scored a 58-yard punt return touchdown.

Impact Shanks was simply fantastic in Saturday's dominant win over Tulsa. On the opening play of the second quarter he scored a 67-yard touchdown, then later in the quarter returned a punt for a touchdown -- his second of the season -- to give the Blazers a dominant 38-0 lead. He wasn't done, as he scored touchdowns of 34 yards and 48 yards in the third quarter, capping off a career day. He saw seven targets in his third straight game and set career highs in receiving yards (153) rushing yards (19) and punt return yards (139). Although these types of performances will not be the norm for Shanks, it's clear that his future is very bright.

Jalen Kitna - Lights up Tulsa Saturday Kitna was 25-for-32 passing for 404 yards and six touchdowns during Saturday's 59-21 win against Tulsa. He also had five rushes for 15 yards.

Impact Kitna was fantastic Saturday as he made his fourth consecutive start and finally was able to lead to his team to a win. He did so by tossing a school-record six touchdown passes, four of which came in the first half as the Blazers' jumped out to a 45-0 lead. All of his touchdown passes came from beyond 14 yards and three of them -- all of which went to Kam Shanks -- were beyond 30 yards. He also threw for a career-high 404 yards and did not turn the ball over for the first time this season. Jacob Zeno's (shoulder) remains a question for the Blazers' next game on Saturday versus UConn, and if he's unable to go Kitna will have the impossible task of following up his career day.

Jalen Kitna - In line to start Saturday Kitna is in line to start Saturday's game against Tulsa with starting quarterback Jacob Zeno sidelined once again, per Steve Irvin of BHamBanner.com.

Impact Kitna is on pace to make his fourth consecutive start after Zeno was announced as out for Saturday's contest while recovering from a shoulder injury. Kitna has shown his gunslinger nature in his three starts this season, throwing for 865 yards and four touchdowns to six interceptions in that timeframe. The redshirt junior has clearly shown the capability to throw the ball and put points on the board, but it remains to be seen if he can cut down on the turnovers. He'll get the chance to prove himself once again on Saturday.

Impact Although Shanks did not quite follow up his elite performance last Saturday, he maintained the high volume. He was targeted 11 times versus South Florida, giving him 23 in the last two games with Jalen Kitna. He caught six of those passes for a measly 36 yards, but the volume he has received in the last two games is enticing. If Kitna starts again after the bye week, Shanks could be a beneficiary once again.

He also set season highs in receptions and targets, while gained over 90 yards for the second time in his last three games. Thomas has proven time and time again that he is the No. 1 option in the Blazers' high-volume passing attack which gives him great upside every week, regardless of the opponent.
