Anthony Barr - Full practice Tuesday Barr (knee) was a full participant at Tuesday's practice.
Impact The linebacker was unable to play in Week 13 against the Lions, but he appears to be on track to play in Thursday's matchup with the Steelers. Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reported Tuesday that Barr expects himself to be ready for Week 14. He has missed six games this season, yet he has been very effective in the six contests he has played, registering 32 tackles, three pass deflections, an interception and a fumble recovery.

Eric Kendricks - Looks ready to play Thursday Kendricks (biceps) was listed as a full participant in Tuesday's practice.
Impact Kendricks thus looks on track to return to the lineup for Thursday's game against the Steelers, after the biceps injury caused him to miss his first contest of the season Week 13 in the Vikings' 29-27 loss to the Lions. When healthy this season, Kendricks has been one of the top IDP producers at linebacker. He's averaging 9.9 tackles per game and has tallied up four sacks, two interceptions and one fumble recovery.

Dalvin Cook - Turns in limited practice Cook (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant during Tuesday's practice.
Impact While the extent of Cook's activity in practice isn't fully known, the Vikings are listing him as a limited participant for the first time since he suffered a dislocated left shoulder in the team's Week 12 loss to the 49ers. Shortly after Cook was diagnosed with the injury, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that he was expected to remain out until the team's Week 15 game against the Bears, but the running back looks as though he may have a chance to make it back for this week's Thursday night matchup with the Steelers. Before the Vikings make a call on his status one way or the other, the team will wait and see if Cook is able to take a step forward in his practice activity Wednesday. Alexander Mattison would be in line for a high-volume role out of the Minnesota backfield for the second straight game if Cook is ultimately ruled out against Pittsburgh.

Adam Thielen - Misses practice, likely out Week 14 Thielen (ankle) didn't participate in the open portion of Tuesday's practice and is expected to be sidelined for Thursday's game against the Steelers, Chris Tomasson of the St. Pau...
Impact While the Vikings haven't officially ruled Thielen out for Week 14, head coach Mike Zimmer told Tomasson prior to practice that the wideout will return from his high-ankle sprain at some point this season. The fact that Zimmer is talking about Thielen's status in that manner implies that he's unlikely to suit up Thursday, so expect the receiver to officially receive the "out" tag at the conclusion of Wednesday's practice. Thielen's projected absence should clear the way for K.J. Osborn and Dede Westbrook to handle more reps alongside No. 1 receiver Justin Jefferson.

Patrick Peterson - Comes off COVID list The Vikings activated Peterson (undisclosed) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday.
Impact Peterson missed Week 13's divisional loss to the Lions as a result of his placement on the COVID list. However, the veteran should be available to handle his usual every-down role during Thursday's matchup against the Steelers.

Xavier Woods - Continues with every-down role Woods notched eight tackles (three solo) during Sunday's divisional loss to the Lions.
Impact Woods hasn't yet missed a single defensive snap through 12 appearances this season. The veteran safety already has 74 total tackles on the season, so it's possible that he creeps over his career-high mark of 77 stops with a strong performance against the Steelers on Thursday.
DECEMBER 7, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Blake Lynch - Dealing with hip injury Lynch (hip) did not practice Monday, Craig Peters of the Vikings' official site reports.
Impact Lynch played 100 percent of defensive snaps during Sunday's divisional loss to the Lions, racking up nine tackles (six solo) and two sacks, along with a forced fumble and one fumble recovery. If Anthony Barr (knee/hamstring) and Eric Kendricks (biceps) aren't able to return in time for Thursday's matchup against the Steelers, Lynch, if healthy, will once again stand to handle an every-down gig.
DECEMBER 7, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Nick Vigil - Makes 15 tackles in loss to Lions Vigil had 15 tackles (nine solo) during Sunday's divisional loss to the Lions.
Impact Vigil played 100 percent of defensive snaps and took on an even more key role than usual with both Eric Kendricks (biceps) and Anthony Barr (knee) sidelined. Depending on the health of Minnesota's linebacker corps, Vigil could end up playing another every-down role versus the Steelers on Thursday.

C.J. Ham - Catches lone target Ham had a 19-yard reception on his lone target during Sunday's 29-27 loss to the Lions.
Impact Ham played 25 of 76 offensive snaps and took advantage of his lone touch by rumbling 19 yards during the third quarter. The 28-year-old has seven carries for 34 yards and 12 receptions for 101 yards through 12 games this season, and he doesn't offer any fantasy appeal as a fullback.

Christopher Herndon IV - No targets Week 13 Herndon played 13 offensive snaps and wasn't targeted during Sunday's 29-27 loss to the Lions.
Impact Herndon and Luke Stocker each played 13 offensive snaps while starting tight end Tyler Conklin led Minnesota's pass catchers with 72 snaps. Herndon has only three catches for 23 yards and a touchdown in 12 games this season and has no fantasy appeal in his current role as a depth tight end.

Kene Nwangwu - Works as secondary back Nwangwu had two carries for zero yards, caught two of three targets for four yards and returned two kickoffs for 65 yards during Sunday's 29-27 loss to the Lions.
Impact Nwangwu operated as Minnesota's No. 2 tailback with Dalvin Cook (shoulder) sidelined, but the rookie still played only nine offensive snaps. Alexander Mattison un surprisingly dominated the backfield work with 22 carries and three receptions. Nwangwu is unlikely to have a significant offensive role while one of Cook or Mattison is healthy.
